Self Introduction
I lived, studied, and taught Japanese in Florida, and Japanese and English in Hanoi, Vietnam. After that, I was involved in business with companies in Southeast Asia for a few years. I also spent some time in Kenya, where my husband is from. Because of my history I am interested in the use of English as a lingua franca, and received an MA in TESOL from Teachers College, Columbia University. When I have time, I enjoy drawing, doing yoga, and playing with cats!
Message to Students
You are the main character of the life you create. You may face challenges, but I hope you overcome them and go on new adventures. If you’re willing to continue your quest and grow, life will give you opportunities again and again to be a better you.
