My cousin, Donna Cavaille, is a Spanish teacher at San Lorenzo Valley High School in Felton, California. I just had the pleasure of meeting up with her and with many of my other dear cousins in California last week. Early in our semester, I told her about the tableaux vivants and free associations we made related to various concepts. If you recall, we carried out that task in our first class in September.
My cousin expressed willingness to conduct the same task with her American advanced Spanish students. She allowed them to free associate in either Spanish or English and her students did the tableaux vivants after the free associations. She and one of her teaching assistants put together a great PPT which shows our tableaux side by side with those of her students, along with their Wordles. I have posted ours on this page.

Yay! I was finally able to get in! This is really great Joseph! I’m sure my students will appreciate learning which words your students associated with this list of words. Thanks for involving us in this fascinating cross-cultural study!
